Video Presentations of Our Stadium Constructions

We created a walk-through of the stadium we had made in Minecraft. As well as this we used Garageband to make our music track.

Building Commonwealth Games Worlds in Room 19

Today our class began researching the facilities and venues at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games that might be easily overlooked.

Using our day with technology each child chose two Games events to focus on. Then they collected photos showing the physical venue and its functional features in detail.

Using the Minecraft app a lead team negotiator led their individual groups and decided which of the sports events to put on their Minecraft "worlds".

Despite the school's network being unstable in Room 19, the class still managed to construct some rather impressive structures that reflected the research done in the early part of the day.

Room 19 looks at Blogs

This week Room 19 caught up with the rest of the school looking at what's on everyone else's blogs.

We spent time collecting our data on a form then recorded what we discovered. Next we entered that information into a spreadsheet on our iPads. We created graphs from our data then formed our conclusions about the data we collected.

Transformation in our school

During our ICT day, Room 18 prepared a presentation for the school assembly.

This is a glimpse of the work Room 19 is currently completing in the first term of 2014. We have been investigating the native bird life returning to the bush areas of West Auckland. The children are also reflecting on what could be suitable names to replace the long-established names for the different levels of the school.
